TOOLS OF APOLOGETICS: PARTS 1 & 2
Inconsistencies of logical variations appear to be the bane of the non-believer. God, in His infinite wisdom, has granted humanity the incredible ability to utilize the process of analytical thinking in order to form hypotheses and conclusions based on rational deductions. This is the field that has been commonly identified as logic. Assumptions that have been determined through the strategic steps of education, pondering, and absorption, dictate the beliefs and convictions of people: both individually and in the broader sense, corporately as social expressions.
Logic as a tool is an invaluable asset to humanity in the pursuit of knowledge and experiential understanding. Difficulties arise, however, when faulty assumptions are injected into the procedural functions of deliberate thought. When falsities or illogical conclusions are thought to be correct, a flawed process becomes the natural end product. Reason reduces itself into collusive actions of potentiality with irrational prejudicial practice overriding objective analysis. Following logical patterns of form, conjecturalization surpasses the base assumptions of proper research. Personal bias connects itself to an unwarranted belief system that in turn drive the unbeliever’s life into a teeming vortex of improper deleterious behaviors that, when applied to Christianity, create an artificial alienation from proper, biblically grounded thought.
The task of the apologist is formidable but capable of recital. When properly trained, any Christian believer can use the principles of logic to undermine the underpinnings of false, implausible belief systems of inaccurate worldviews that are accepted as factual within the unbelieving community. The dynamics that dictate logics theorems can be employed to expose both the prejudicial conjectures and assumptions of bias that permeate the postmodern mindset that rigorously opposes Christianities objective relationship to truths essence, that in turn makes no room for alternate modes of epistemological factors that define relational qualities between humanity and God to be considered as a practicable methodology for discursive discovery.
Determining the inconsistencies of worldly wisdoms pejoratives, and exposing them as fallacious, is the churches responsibility. Arbitrary prejudices, when properly analyzed, present the inconsistencies of improper applications of logic’s laws of use. Logic, moralizing, supreme acts of justice, love, honor, and truth: all are ready allies to the discriminate believer. All are proper tools that, when used adequately, can assist in the removal of the philosophical blinders that alienate the unbeliever from the practice of properly contemplating the God of creation, His Son who saves and His Spirit who relates.
